Starting Fresh – No more Tobacco

Well, we’re finally getting somewhere.

It was a little over 4 months ago, my wife and I decided we wanted to change it up, do something different.  Here in the Far North, there are not a lot of sources of income, and most people live a hand to mouth existence.

For a while now, we have too.

Both of us gave up smoking and switched to Vaping after a lot of umming and ahhhing.  I was a heavy smoker, easily a couple of pouches of tobacco per week, and for over 20 years.  My wife, less so.

We needed a change, and it came in the form of Vaping.  We wanted to be healthier, to be more available to our kids, and to be able to spend more time together.

The Smok VCT-A1 Sub Ohm Tank was the first Atomizer I ever owned.

Initially, we started on eGo style pens and it was enough to get the basics and get our collective heads around the Vaping vs Smoking debate.  We researched everything.  After we picked up the eGo’s from Jujnovich’s here in Kaitaia, we spent countless hours pouring over research papers and various websites.  Everyone had an opinion, and damned if they weren’t going to voice it whether we liked it or not.

For the most part though, the Vaping community was so very supportive.

Soon though, the eGo pens were not enough.  We knew we needed more.  Something wasn’t quite right.

It’s about this time, my Wife was talking to Mark on FaceBook, and he suggested we talk with Johno down at Vaporized in Auckland.

Having a very limited income, my Wife and I set a budget of around $70, and gave Johno a call.  With his help, in less than 3 days, we had an HB Mini 30w, and a Smok VCT-A1 Sub Ohm tank (see pictures)

The VCT-A1 was perfect for me as a beginner, and combined with a mod that was incapable of pushing the coils past their limit, was a spark of genius!

For a starting setup, there was nothing more I could have wanted, and kudos to Johno for understanding that.

Within our budget, not only did he provide a Mod; a Tank; spare coils and 18650 battery, he also threw in 2x30ml bottles of eJuice.  One was Castro (a Vaporized eJuice), and the other was Razzapple Macaron (made by Mark at Just eJuices).

The new mod and tank were not the greatest in terms of flavor and clouds, but it opened up a whole new world for me.  Suddenly, all the eJuices I’d tried previously in the eGo had a flavor! Interestingly, not all of them were good.  LOL

The mod lasted all day on a single charge, and the coils lasted really well.

I couldn’t have asked for more.  Thank you Johno, and everyone in the community that has helped us get to where we are today.

We appreciate it so very much.
